Using Zakynthos.net

Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Zakynthos.net and explain the limits of destination information, external booking links, intellectual property and user submissions.

Last reviewed 26 July 2026Plain-language policy
In brief

Travel conditions change. Always verify safety-critical access, transport, conservation instructions, product terms and live availability with the responsible authority or provider.

01

Acceptance and website role

By accessing Zakynthos.net, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies linked from them. If you do not agree, do not use the website. The site operator should add its legal identity and required business information before public launch. These terms apply to editorial pages, interactive features, contact submissions and outbound commercial links.

Zakynthos.net is an independent destination publication. It is not a public authority, emergency service, travel agency, tour operator, accommodation provider or payment processor merely because it discusses or links to those services. Content is general travel information and inspiration, not individualized legal, medical, safety or professional advice.

We may update the website and these terms. Material changes apply from the stated revision date, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be limited. Continued use after publication of revised terms constitutes acceptance where permitted, but it does not create consent for optional personal-data processing.

02

Travel information and changing conditions

We research content with care, but cannot guarantee that every statement remains complete, accurate or available at the moment you travel. Weather, sea state, erosion, wildfire risk, conservation controls, public works, strikes, timetables, opening hours, road conditions and operator decisions can change quickly. A page’s review date is not a same-day operational confirmation.

You are responsible for checking current information with the authority or company that controls the relevant service or location. Follow signs, barriers, rangers, emergency services, port authorities and licensed operators. Do not enter a closed beach, cliff path, marine zone or private property because an older photograph or article appears to show access.

Wildlife is not guaranteed. Swimming, boating, driving and cliff environments involve inherent risks. Assess your health, ability, equipment, weather and local instructions. Children and dependent travellers require appropriate supervision. If conditions seem unsafe, stop and seek local guidance.

03

External services and bookings

The site may link to external accommodation platforms, tour marketplaces, operators, transport providers, maps or other services. Those links are provided for discovery and convenience. The external company’s terms, privacy policy, product description, price, taxes, fees, availability, cancellation rules and accessibility commitments govern your transaction.

Unless checkout expressly identifies Zakynthos.net as the contracting party, we do not take payment, issue confirmations, hold deposits, supply the travel service or decide refunds. Questions and disputes about an external booking must be addressed to the provider or marketplace named in the confirmation. Keep copies of the final listing and terms accepted at purchase.

Affiliate compensation may arise from eligible transactions, as explained in the Affiliate Disclosure. A commission does not make us responsible for the external service and does not reduce the provider’s obligations. We may change or remove links and cannot guarantee that a product remains available.

04

Permitted use

You may browse, print or save reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial trip planning. You may share ordinary links to public pages. You may not scrape the site at a disruptive scale, bypass access controls, probe security, introduce malware, impersonate another person, send spam, overload infrastructure or use content to build a competing database without permission.

Automated access must respect technical restrictions, rate limits and applicable law. Search engines may index public pages in the ordinary course. Permission to crawl does not transfer copyright or authorize republication. We may block traffic that threatens security, performance, rights or other visitors.

You must not use the contact form for unlawful, abusive, deceptive or irrelevant messages. Do not submit confidential credentials, payment data, malicious attachments or personal information you have no right to provide. We may preserve and disclose evidence of abuse where reasonably necessary.

05

Intellectual property and submissions

Unless stated otherwise, the site’s original text, page structure, branding, graphics and code are owned by or licensed to the operator. Third-party photographs, marks and data remain subject to their respective rights and licence notices. Mention of a business or trademark does not imply ownership, endorsement or affiliation.

Brief quotation for criticism, reporting or other legally permitted use may be allowed with appropriate attribution, but wholesale copying, translation, republication or commercial reuse requires permission unless a licence expressly permits it. Image credits do not authorize you to reuse the image; follow the source licence.

When you submit a correction, photograph, testimonial or other material for possible publication, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is not knowingly false, unlawful or infringing. Unless separately agreed, you grant the operator a non-exclusive licence to use the submission for evaluating, documenting and publishing the relevant contribution, with reasonable editing and attribution where appropriate. Do not send material if you cannot grant those rights.

06

Disclaimers and liability

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties concerning uninterrupted access, completeness, fitness for a particular itinerary and results from external services. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on general travel content, inability to access the site, external service failure, weather, wildlife, transport disruption or a decision by an independent authority or provider. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be limited, including where applicable for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You remain responsible for travel documents, insurance, health decisions, supervision, bookings and compliance with local law. The wording here is intended to allocate responsibilities fairly, not to remove a mandatory remedy.

07

Privacy, availability and enforcement

Personal-data handling is described in the Privacy Policy. Optional tracking choices are governed by the site’s live consent controls. These terms do not authorize processing beyond a lawful basis and do not require you to surrender statutory privacy rights.

We may suspend features, correct content, remove submissions or restrict access where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance or prevention of abuse. We are not obliged to preserve every historical page or external link. Material editorial corrections are handled under the Editorial Policy.

If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to the extent permitted. Failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver. Rights and obligations may transfer with a legitimate change of site ownership, subject to law and appropriate notice.

08

Governing framework and disputes

The site operator should specify its place of establishment and governing law before launch. Any choice of law must not deprive consumers of mandatory protection available in their habitual residence. We therefore do not invent a jurisdiction in a reusable theme package.

Please contact us first with a clear description of a website-related dispute so there is an opportunity to resolve it. A dispute concerning an external booking belongs primarily with the contracting provider. The former European Union Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is not presented here as an active complaint channel.

Nothing in these terms prevents a person from contacting an appropriate consumer authority, data-protection authority, alternative dispute-resolution body or court where the law permits. Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact page.
